Drexel University is a private research university with three campuses in Philadelphia. It was founded in 1891 by Anthony J. Drexel, a noted financier and philanthropist. As of 2015, more than 26,000 students are enrolled in over 70 undergraduate programs and more than 100 master’s, doctoral, and professional programs at the university.[2] Drexel’s cooperative education program (co-op) is a unique aspect of the school’s degree programs, offering students the opportunity to gain up to 18 months of paid, full-time work experience in a field relevant to their undergraduate major or graduate degree program prior to graduation. When first founded it was known as the Drexel Institute of Art, Science, and Industry. In 1936 this was renamed as the Drexel Institute of Technology and finally in 1970 as Drexel University.

The mission of the Claremont Institute is to teach the practical application of the principles of the American Founding to the next generation of Conservative leaders, and to build them into a community dedicated to preserving constitutional government.[3]To this end, the institute seeks to establish a limited and accountable government that respects natural lawprivate property, promotes a stable family life, and maintains a strong national defense. The Institute’s work is national in scope, but it also gives a special emphasis to the problems of California, where it is based.

Jersey City Public Schools
346 Claremont Avenue
Jersey City, NJ 07305

The Jersey City Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district located in Jersey City, in Hudson CountyNew Jersey, United States. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide,[3] which are now referred to as “SDA Districts” based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority.[4][5]

As of the 2010-11 school year, the district’s 38 schools had an enrollment of 34,505 students and 2,665.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.95:1.[6]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group “B”, the second lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[7]

The district is one of three districts in New Jersey (along with Newark Public Schools and Paterson Public Schools) under “state intervention”, which authorizes the state Commissioner of Education to intervene in curriculum functions.[8][9] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_City_Public_Schools

Abbott districts are school districts in New Jersey that are provided remedies to ensure that their students receive public education in accordance with the state constitution.

February 7, 2017.  About Me.   I’m sitting here in Starbucks at Atlantic Terminal working on my computer trying to get at least some of the information posted, and trying to endure the sporadic bouts of easy button laser beam pain to my head, each time accompanied with “love” music, and slamming banging sounds sounds (customers slamming their backpacks and tote bags on the counter as they’ve been told to; “baristas” making a variety of noise as they’ve been told to).  Martha, Director of the YWCA, was here; we spoke briefly (I mentioned to Martha that I cannot access the internet when in my room or on the 8th floor lounge) and earlier, another Martha, a resident who lives a few doors from me, was here.  I don’t know if Gerry next door to me, or Molly, was here too, as much as I can I try to keep focused on doing my work—it is unusual, unique, this work that I do.  cc all Mormon attorneys

This Budweiser box, containing an volumes of an encyclopedia from the 1940s or 1950s, has been on the 8th floor, the lounge area, next to the book shelves, for several years now, even before the May 2016 orchestrated 80 times stabbing occurred on the 8th floor, YWCA Brooklyn; photo: February 4, 2017
