Two. The number two frequently appears in a legal setting. Agreement in the accounts of two witnesses adds to the force of the testimony. Two witnesses, or even three, were required to establish a matter before the judges. This principle is also followed in the Christian congregation. (De 17:6; 19:15; Mt 18:16; 2Co 13:1; 1Ti 5:19; Heb 10:28) God adhered to this principle in presenting his Son to the people as mankind’s Savior. Jesus said: “In your own Law it is written, ‘The witness of two men is true.’ I am one that bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”Joh 8:17, 18.

Doing something a second time—for example, repetition of a statement or vision, even in only a parallel way—firmly established the matter as sure and true (as in Pharaoh’s dream of the cows and the ears of grain; Ge 41:32). Biblical Hebrew poetry is full of thought parallelism, which establishes more firmly in mind the truths stated and at the same time clarifies matters by the variety of wording in the parallelism.—See Ps 2, 44, and others.

In Daniel’s prophecy a certain beast’s having “two horns” symbolized duality in rulership of the Medo-Persian Empire.Da 8:20, 21; compare Re 13:11.

December 24, 2016. To CIA-KGB agent David the Vicious Schafer: David, you’re on the Teaching Committee which I assume is officed in Patterson, so, unless you’re out of town traveling elsewhere, I will see you on Sunday.  (I am hoping and praying my Albanian brothers and my Russian brothers are not punished because of me writing this note to you which I must for the LEGAL CASE.)

Here’s my itinerary:

I don’t have much to pack, only my computer, my dress, a blouse, underwear, nightgown, and my toothbrush.

At approximately 8am I will go to the subway station and ride the 4 or 5 train to Grand Central Station.  The Metro North train to Beacon leaves at 9:43am.  I will have breakfast and read, making sure that I do not become so engrossed in reading that I miss the train.

I will walk from the train station to Enterprise Car Rental to pick up a car I reserved.

Then I will drive to Marriott Hotel in Fishkill, a five or ten minute ride.  (I was thinking the hotel is in Beacon and then I remembered, it’s in Fishkill.)

Then, after I check in and eat a bowl of soup or something I can chew, I will then drive to Patterson.  I will drive back and forth to Patterson two or three maybe even four times, as many times as I need to, to know exactly how to get there without getting lost.

I hope to be sitting in the Kingdom Hall in Patterson for each of the meetings that meet in the Kingdom Hall, probably three, maybe four.

After the last meeting I will then drive back to the hotel and stay overnight because it will be too late to travel back to Brooklyn.

Monday morning I will return the car and ride the Metro North back to Grand Central Station.
