The New York Post reported today that she died Friday night in Massachusetts, where she lived.
The cause of death is confirmed to have been renal disease (chronic kidney disease).
She had suffered from significant medical issues in the past and reportedly needed a kidney transplant.
A Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt confirmed Ensa’s cause of death to USA TODAY.
“The Cosby Family thanks many people for their prayers for their beloved and beautiful Ensa, who recently died from renal disease,” he said in a statement.
Ensa was one of the few who stood up for her father during his sexual assault trial.
“My father has been publicly lynched in the media and my family, my young daughter, my young niece and nephew have had to stand helplessly by and watch the double standard or pretending to protect the rights of some but ignoring the rights of others,” she said in a statement at the time.
“I strongly believe my father is innocent of the crimes alleged against him and I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal.”
This is not the first of Cosby’s children to die. His son, Ennis Cosby, was murdered in 1997 by an 18-year-old in a failed robbery attempt.
Cosby and his wife Camille have had five children together since their marriage in 1964, Erika, Erinn, Ensa, Evin, and Ennis.

Five dozen women have so far accused Cosby of being a serial sex offender dating back to the mid-1960s.
Prosecutors are currently preparing for Cosby’s retrial in a Philadelphia suburb on sexual assault charges.
The comedian’s first trial ended with a hung jury in June.
He is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
Cosby has said the encounter was consensual.
Jury selection for the retrial will start March 29.
